Accountancy Elite are proud to be partnered with a client of ours in a well established firm of chartered accountants in their search for an Accounts Associate to join their growing and developing team.

This is an amazing opportunity for a Accounts Associate / Trainee Accountant with previous practice experience who has a forward thinking attitude and desire to learn and progress further in a company that offers regular training and development.

Key Role Responsibilities:

·Supporting on a portfolio of clients throughout the year; managing timetables/expectations, anticipating costs, raising fee invoices and agree / action dates for cash collection
·Preparation of accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
·Preparation of Corporation Tax returns and VAT return preparation
·Utilising and promoting the use of cloud technology and the conversion of existing clients
·Identifying, researching and resolving technical issues
·Building strong relationships with clients and preparing client deliverables
·Initiating and working with other teams across the region to the benefit of the client, referring opportunities where relevant and minimising risks
·Assisting and developing more junior members of staff
·Acting professionally at all times and acting as an ambassador for the business
·Further training is offered at regular intervals to maintain technical skills and for those without a professional qualification to obtain this

Candidate Requirements:
·Previous practice experience
·Working towards a professional qualification – ACCA, ACA or Level 4 AAT
·Ability to develop strong and trustworthy relationships
·Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
·Demonstrate the ability to think analytically with high attention to details
·Recent accounting experience is essential including knowledge of UK GAAP and Companies Law
·Exposure to owner-manager businesses is also essential
·Technical ability with knowledge of recent developments such as FRS 102, FRS 105 and FRS102 1a
·Drive and resilience to deliver high levels of customer service
