Do you possess an extensive knowledge of Tax as it relates to HMRC enquiries and Tribunal claims? Then we have perfect role for you with one of Warwickshire’s most progressive and well respected law firms! Salary up to ?60k for the right level of applicant and fantastic benefits you just don’t see any more!

Our client is looking for a dynamic, experienced tax professional who’s remit will be high level advisory work and working with lawyers on negotiations with HMRC and bringing challenges before the FTT and UTT. This may suit a professional accountant/tax consultant or someone who has worked at this level within HMRC itself.

Role responsibilities:

?Assist/Deal with HMRC enquiries and investigations (including COP 9).
?Responsible for a wide variation of Compliance work.
?Manage portfolio of complex advisory cases, including Loan Charge issues and IR35 considerations.
?A good technical knowledge of tax avoidance schemes and HMRC’s challenges in relation to these.
?Assist with voluntary disclosures made by clients.
?Provide proactive advice to assist clients unravel negligent planning in order to mitigate potential tax exposure.

Skills & Experience required:

?Technically capable tax adviser who has a passion for assisting in complex client work.
?3+ years post qualification experience.
?Proven track record of Business Development.
?Ability to work as part of a team.

Qualifications Required:

?Preferably CTA qualified although ACCA/ACA will be considered if the candidate possesses the right level of experience and technical capability.
